My mom was never there for any of us and we had to fend for ourselves growing up. She wouldnt let us talk to our dad, and never let us go visit him. My mom began using drugs and was eventually hospitalized because she overdosed, i was 12 and after that finally got to go live with my dad. Ive had the best life ever with him, and i love my stepmom. My dads a cop and my stepmom is a er doctor so ive had a pretty comfortable lifestyle and its a total different story with my mom. The past couple years shes moved many many times, to trailers, to apartments, to run down houses, and ive had to go back in forth (whenever she felt like being a parent) I'm seventeen now and have gone 2-3 months at a time without talking to her plenty of times, she's missed birthdays, christmas, thanksgiving, everything! Yet she still trys to parent me. She forces me to go visit her, and everytime i see her if i say one wrong thing or even mention drugs she hits me. I cant stand being over there, but im forced to because they have split custody. Ive been in situations where shes put my life in danger. I want to tell someone so bad what she does, so i dont have to go over there, but i dont want her to get in any trouble.

You don't need to cut them, you can just soak them because they have a hard outer shell. You soak them for 24 hours roughly. Place in a damp paper towel and then put into a baggie in a warm place until the roots start sprouting, then place into pots. All this is only if you want a faster germination, but you could just do it the old fashioned way and plant them directly into the soil without doing anything to them.

Sounds almost a rod knock but goes away at about 2800 rpm. I've heard that in '97 they switched to a hydraulic lifter and needed to have the valve reset every 100,000 miles. The car is getting close to 140,000. I don't know if that's true or not, but if not what else could the sound be? It sounds like it coming from inside the motor somewhere. I have no clue where anything is in the motor, I've never worked on a Subaru before other than a motor swap. This is the cars second engine and i'd really like the keep it alive this time. So this is my 2 period and I only use tampons!! Adjusting a guitar action?

Just got a new floyd rose type guitar and notice that the action was too high after the 12 fret and made it impossible to play. i tried to adjust the truss rod, but that only had affect in the first few frets. then i lowered the bridge and still didn't get any results. If you had bad morning/all day sickness, when did it go away?

I posted a question earlier and got no answers. I am 9 weeks pregnant with my second and I can't eat. I eat maybe 2 or 3 bites of something and I feel like I have had Thanksgiving dinner. Cooking is even worse. The thought of cooking makes me feel sick and the smell of cooking makes me actually get sick. I feel like I have a stomach flu all the time. Its constant nausea. I did NOT have this with my first. Meat triggers me worst of all. I just dont know what to do. We are spending money on food out all the time just to avoid cooking but then I hardly eat anyway. Im so tired of being this way, I am miserable. My doctor has put me on a rx for zofran dissolve tabs and I take one every 8 hours. Why is it I am dieting and gaining weight?

I have been dieting for over a year now and lost 155 pounds. I have also been going to the gym 3 times a week and on my off days from the gym been walking. I am on a low carb diet and it was all working fine until the last couple of months where I would loose a few pounds then gain it back the next week. I would start my diet from the beginning where you would go 2 weeks and eat only 20 carbs a day, then after the 2 weeks you could eat between 40 and 60 carbs a day. IT would work where I would lose weight during those 2 weeks then after the first 2 weeks I would gain it back. Haven't gone off my diet or changed anything. Also lately I am hungry all the time. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to make my weight loss start again. I want to lose 35 more pounds by Thanksgiving.

Then he told my husband to leave and never come back. My father-in-law came to the door and kicked us out and told us to go back to DC and that he never wanted to see us again. We spent Thanksgiving at a Chinese restaurant all by ourselves. My in-laws were mad because they said my husband is a bully and that he attacked his brother, a 42-year old still living with mom and dad. Am I missing something here? It is June and I am in St. Vincent & The Grenadines. When I look up at the sky, I see the Big Dipper at a position of about 4 o'clock in the sky. At about 11 o'clock is a very bright star with a little dim star about 1/2" to the right of it. Can you tell me what stars these are, or if they are even stars at all? Spinal Fusion/Back pain?

Today I was in my car listening to music for about an hour with all of the doors/windows up. It was mild day, but not warm or hot, but inside of the car it got sort of warm. Then I starting sweating and my whole body especially my hands got wet. Then we had a BBQ outside in the backyard and I ate outside too. It was a little breezy outside and got sort of cool. Also we have a swimming pool in our backyard and maybe that's why it was cooler than expected. Then I went to the bathroom and it was cold in the BR. When I was done, my back (left shoulder blade) started feeling pulled with a little pain until now. By the way I have Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy, 17 1/2 years old male, use a power wheelchair to maneuver around with, cannot stand/walk/jog/run/crawl, limited movement in arms. I've had three surgeries and one procedure done, (2 heel cord surgeries/1 spinal fusion rod implanted/1endoscopy. Yesterday I also heard a cracking sound, but did not feel anything. Do you think the cracking sound was from the rod? Or am I being paranoid? Lol.

Why did my mower throw a rod?

Tried to make cheese dip?

i bought a little dipper crock pot and was very excited to try cheese dip last night. i bought melting cheese from walmart from the mexican cheese section and threw it in their and waited hours. it melted but it didnt get creamy-it just sort of got hot and melty. i dont know what i did wrong. do i need to throw some milk in their too? also, what can i do with my random block of half melted now refridgerated cheese? i dont really want to use processed and who im making it for doesnt like cream cheese or mayonnaise. is there anyway to salvage my chunk of cheese preferably for cheese dip?

Why does my mom think I'm not eating?!?

I'm 13. I'll admit in the past I used to try to starve myself, but I have a therapist and a nutritionist now and I know it's bad now, so I dont. I have been building a motor for my car this past year and so far I have a 4.6L block bored .020, with a crank thats rated at about 600 hp (its not forged) with forged H-beam rods and Forged Probe pistons. I will soon be buying the 99-04 PI head kit. I have decided that the vortech supercharger is going to be the best for me (I wish I could afford a kenne bell but the price just seems out of the question) so my question is what vortech supercharger kit would get me around 450 hp. I see only one on American Muscle that gives around 405hp but that does not seem like a smart choice buying a supercharger from AM. Also with my bottom end what would be a safe psi to run,and i want the SC to really scream. 4 cycle small engine help?

I have a 2007 minibike that is broken and i need help figuring out why. I am fairly experienced, but have not seen this before. The engine is 97cc and it goes approx 35mph. I have driven it heavily for 3 years now. I drive it to my work place on gravel back roads(4 miles). Today the engine was making a weird noise 1 mile from home it lacked power. the engine locked up, stopped and a minute later it wouldn't turn over. I tore it open and the cylinder was smooth and i turned the engine over in reverse and now it turned over easy. It was perfect again. I put it back together and drove for a mile and it drove good but broke again but this time it pulled over with no compression. The piston rod broke. It had full oil, why did it do this?

I think you will have trouble getting a single rod that is suitable for lines of 3lbs and 10lbs. A rod that is right for 3lb line will have a test curve of about 12ozs to 1 lb. For 10lb line then a rod with about 2lb 8ozs test curve would be ok. If you opt for the heavier test curve you will very easily break the 3lbs line and if you pick a rod suitable for 3lbs line then you may not be able to use the strength of the 10lbs line without risking damaging the lighter rod. You could get a quiver tip rod (as you have mentioned) these have as many as 4 tips and at a pinch could be used for float fishing. Shakeapeare make good rods and are usually easy to buy at your local tackle dealer, if you do more float fishing then a rod of 13 feet (3.9 metre) is very popular. As far as reels go, I would buy the best Shimano or Diawa you can afford, both are good.

Engine hard to turn over.?

Okay I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix SE, 3.8L V6. It has 168,000 miles on it. I left the house and the engine started up rather roughly. I drove about 3.5 miles (engine seemed to run fine) stopped at a store, and when I got back in the car it wouldn't turn over. Replaced the starter, main bearings, rod bearings, timing chain, and soon to change the oil pump. The engine is so tight the starter can't turn it over. There was small metal grit in the oil pan when I changed the bearings, but the old bearings only had what appeared to me to be minor grooves in them that you would expect on a car with over 100k miles on it(also crankshaft didn't have scrapes on it or warped). The MAF sensor was triggering the check engine light before this happened and I had a small oil leak around the valve gasket (oil was not low at time of engine malfunction). When manually turning over the engine with a beaker bar it takes and incredible amount of force and sounds like the compression is abnormally high. Anyone have any thoughts as to the issue? As I am almost to the end of my list of things that could possibly cause this type of issue. (also rods and pistons do not appear to have any abnormal ware or warped)

I have problems with my father. Should he get anything for Father's day?

My father used to be a role model for me. He worked hard. He had a good job. He paid the bills and we went on vacations. Then about 6 years ago he started making bad choices. First he got a DUI. I remember that night perfectly because I was the only other one in the car with him riding in the passenger seat. That set our family back about 10,000 dollars in court fees and fines. Around the same time he was arrested for domestic violence to my mom. I also remember that night. That will also be one of the few nights I'll never forget ever. Because of that to this day I feel extremely uncomfortable watching domestic violence on television and especially first hand. He ran a landscaping business and made really good money. However after the DUI he lost his license and the company went under. About a year ago he found a decent job working for a catering company. He says he enjoys it but I just simply shrug I dont care. I am extremely disappointed in my father. I never ask him for some money for school or to go out because he never has any. I left for my second year of college in august thinking that when I came back for Thanksgiving I would see some change. There was none. My mom has diabetes but yet shes also working and she is definitely the one who holds the house (apartment) down. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment on the fourth floor with no lift. When my father comes back from work I tend to leave to go out with some friends, go to the gym, jog or go biking. My fathers birthday was a week ago. I made sure not to see him that day at all. I left the entire day. By the time I came back it had already past. He drinks on occasion by himself and comes back drunk. He doesn't abuse my mom because he knows that this time he'd never get out of jail but it is not a sight I like seeing. As I'm typing this right now he's sleeping on the couch. He's been sleeping on the couch since last year. Do I feel sorry for him? Very little. I guess this a little back story as to why I'm so disappointed in him,so upset with him and was wondering if he should get anything for Father's day besides an intervention.

2 years ago I got my tonsils and adenoids( or whatever they are called taken out lol) and I was pretty overweight from the 3rd-6th grade I was bigger sizes then my friends i had a stomach and fat thighs I may have been overweight before that but just don't remember getting teased about it. I only notice the thing i get teased about. in the 6th grade( the year i got my tonsils out) I was probably a 5'3 and 145 pounds( at the beginning of the 6th grade). Then a few weeks after my surgery I was 5'5( i grew a few inches) and was 112 pounds. during that week was thanksgiving and my godmother saw me and knew I had my tonsils out pulled me aside and said Taylor, you look sick and anorexic you need to gain weight back fast!( she made my feel upset because i used to get hounded and teased for being overweight and i finally lose weight and then its a problem). which really pisses me off when she said that like i can just magically gain 20 pounds in a day! lol and a few other people though i was sick and some just said i looked skinny. im 14 now and at this moment i am overweight. i 140 pounds( last time i checked) and 5'6 I need to lose weight i hate how it just piles back on lol but i have been eating too much junk lately. any good plans i can stick to i want to weigh about 116-125 pounds would be a good weight for me. my clothes are kinda tight and i have fat thighs and a fat butt and a little fat on my stomach.

I have been doing a lot of research for the past few years, trying to convince my mom that a cat would be a good pet for our family. She says she would't mind getting a cat if she didn't travel as much, though I try to convince her that cats are independent and would be fine not having human interaction all day for a few days. Normally for a few months every year (two) she is gone for 3-5 days off and on. And even when she is gone, my brother walks home to her house after school every day until my dad comes to pick him up a few hours later (our parents are split) so he would be there to re-fill the food bowl, and water, and provide some tlc. And then we normally take a few week long trips here and there, normally around Thanksgiving, spring, and Christmas/New years. But we have family, and neighbors that would kindly come and feed and clean out the litter box for the cat. Would that work, or not really?

Looking for this one movie I saw as a kid.?

So I saw this movie playing on pbs back in the 90s. It was about this guy who was convinced that all the shopping carts you see laying around were slowly migrating somewhere. He figured out where (some basin) and went on to try to prove his theory with the help of some punk kid. I think he loses his marriage in the process. The movie involved timelapse footage of a cart moving and also the big dipper, when seen from the basin where the carts are headed, has two stars under it to represent wheels. I am a 16 year old female and i weigh around 106lbs and i am about 5ft 7 in height and i eat normally breakfast: crunchy nut cereal, lunch: ham salad baguette and a strawberry milkshake and for tea: chicken dippers and chips and snacks: strawberries and icecream, hot chocolate btw this isnt everyday just an example of a day. I have been living in Australia for nearly 2 yrs now, originally from Texas and I have the most incredible boyfriend. He has done so much for me over the last few years and I could never see myself without him. He has paid off my old student loans in the US, paid $10000 for me to finish school here and pays for EVERYTHING now cause I cant find any work. I have just finished school and am currently trying to start my career over here. We both just moved up to another city and moved into a brand new gorgeous house. We are in the process of getting my Defacto Visa through. I know sounds perfect. However, lately I have been so home sick and missing home and my family so much. Not being able to see them or even call them when I want to is so frustrating and depressing. I miss cold christmas's, thanksgiving being with my friends and family. And def mexican food mmm... Anyways as much as I am in love with my bf, it breaks my heart to not be with my family. But if I do go back I know not being with him will hurt as well. So I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. We have both invested everything into this and walking away doesnt seem like an option but neither does losing my friends and family.

Hanging threaded rod through a celing to hold up ductwork?

Hello everyone I have a question, I just started a project helping a friend and I'm trying to hang is ductwork up a bit more in his ceiling because it is beginning to fall. He has a commercial business and he is concerned it is going to fall. My question is how do you run threaded rod in a ceiling??? The first layer is drywall and the second layer is concrete. I've never hung Kindorf which is those metal bars that you run threaded rod, but how do you get the threaded rod to stay in the ceiling???? Please help. Thank you.

Help I Keep losing fish?

Today i was fishing with my 1/0 Octopus circle hooks (I recently asked a ? similar to this). i was using slices of hot dogs and i like to try and conceal the hook. But everytime a fish starts running with my bait i pick up my rod from my rod holder and it just spits the bait, its like the hooks aren't setting. I've heard don't set the hook with circle hooks, but i don't get how you don't do this because when i reel in fish i naturally just raise the rod tip...which is basically like SETTING the hook. I realize not to pick up the rod and yank upward, but i still raise the rod tip. when i first got these Octopus circle hooks i had no problem with losing fish. but recently i went fishing probably about 5 times in the past 3 weeks and i have lost at least 6 fish (either carp or cats). I am getting really frustrated, and also is there any good alternatives for baiting hot dogs like trying maybe a treble or something.
