Can I use box tape to hold curtain rod on wall ?

It might hold the rod itself...for a little while. But, if you plan on putting curtains on the rod, it will fall. The nails are there for a reason...to HOLD the rod AND the curtains. Otherwise, you're stuck with taping some paper to the windows.
