Slow motion shooting star?

Last night around 11pm (May 13, 2011), my cousin and I saw a "star". But this "star" was moving across the sky a little slower than an airplane. It was not blinking, just a solid white color, about as bright as the north star. It came from the big dipper, and traveled across the sky to the right for about a minute or two, and then disappeared out of sight. We are located in New Hampshire. Does anyone know what this was or did anyone else see it??
