Why does everyone call it Thanksgiving & the Native Americans call it Thankstaking?

My family doesn't celebrate thanksgiving either. When someone asked me why, I said for the same reason the British don't celebrate the 4th of July. It took them a while to figure it out. And yeah, I think you need to do some research and find out what "squaw" means. I'd deck anyone who called me that.
