Help with my boyfriend?

I'm having a little trouble with my boyfriend. We have been dating for about half a year(1 year just right before Thanksgiving). It isn't very serious at all. We have only kissed once and it was on the cheek in a photo booth. Hie is great. My friends sometimes laugh when I talk to him and things like that when they are around, but I really don't care. He is kinda cute, but his personality is AWESOME. He is the sweetest guy in the world! And what's on the inside counts, right? Well, he has had a crush on me for years. He is really shy and one day he finally asked me and I said yes. When we first started dating, he would come to my locker every day and help me with my books and give me small gifts. One day, he was going way too fast so I asked if he could please slow down a bit. After that he never even speaks to me in school. We have gone on 1 date (a movie and he let me choose). Lately, there has been a guy in my class that is giving me looks all the time and I am pretty sure he likes me. He is also really sweet (not a jock or anything). I'm not sure if I should keep dating my boyfriend or not. Please help! Sorry it was so long. :)
