My In-laws say I am wrong, I say they are wrong. Help please?
My husband and I flew across the country to be with my in-laws for Thanksgiving. We always got along great. The day before Thanksgiving, my husband spent all afternoon cooking for all of us. That day we sat at the table and my husband started telling his father how important exercise is to us. He said he sometimes is like my drill sergeant making sure I stay in good shape. His father then interrupted him and told him any drill sergeant would break him apart. My husband got upset and asked him if he was calling him a "pussy". His father got up and walked away. My brother-in-law who is a year younger than my husband, told my husband to leave it alone. My husband then told his brother to shut the "F" up. Then my husband got up and walked towards the door because we were leaving. His brother came after him and started yelling and wanted to hit him but his mother stopped him. Then he told my husband to leave and never come back. My father-in-law came to the door and kicked us out and told us to go back to DC and that he never wanted to see us again. We spent Thanksgiving at a Chinese restaurant all by ourselves. My in-laws were mad because they said my husband is a bully and that he attacked his brother, a 42-year old still living with mom and dad. Am I missing something here? My husband attacked his brother?? Since when is throwing the "F" bomb attacking someone? In that case, his brother attacked my husband. My father-in-law told me that if he saw my husband putting one hand on his brother, he would beat him up himself and take him to jail. Huh? Is that crazy or what? Thanks.
