My dog broke his leg about 2yrs ago and has a rod with 8 pins in it?

he gets very sore my question is i have toradol tablets for my back they are very strong anti- inflammatory tablets. . They are 10 milligram tablets can i give my dog one or is 10 milligrams to strong?
