From the two stars that make the front edge of the Big Dipper's ladle, draw a straight line (these two stars are known as the "pointers"). This will take you to the North Star. The North Star is the the last star in the "handle" of the Little Dipper. They are so close, you never even have to move your head once you find the Big Dipper (I could give it to you in arc seconds or degrees, but I don't' think that would be helpful to you if you aren't into astronomy).
