Wow y does my 2 year old do this ?

At meal times he always puts food in his mouth but does not chew it he swallows it hole for example if i give him mash chicken dippers and spaghetti he will swallow a piece of the chickwn dipper hole i cut it into fairly small pieces but he never chews his food same witj bannanas he will just shove it in his mouth and swallow a big piece but even when i cut them up really small he wil shove loads of pieces in his mouth 1 after the other why does he do this does any1 elses child do this it scares me because sometimes he will choke
