Do we see different constellations as the Earth moves around the sun?

I was looking up at the stars and seeing the plough/big dipper. I was thinking, if it takes us a year to go around the sun, do we see the big dipper all year around and if yes, why is that if we should be seeing different stars and parts of the sky as we move around?
