What do I need for freshwater fishing?

well for trout I would get power bait, spinners,i even use small crankbait, catfish catfish bait, hot dogs work good. carp anything that moves then anything that doesn't move lol bread balls work. bass crankbait and idk i don't fish bass, I know this didn't help, but i hope it helped
